CMG Begins Broadcasting High-Quality TV and Film Content in Cambodia
China Media Group has commenced the broadcasting of premium TV and film programs in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, starting this past Sunday. Seven high-quality TV and film programs will now be available on Cambodia's mainstream media.

At the launch ceremony, Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, along with Khim Vuthy, director general of the National Television of Cambodia, and Khvay Atitya, director of Apsara TV, delivered video addresses.

Shen remarked that with guidance from the leaders of both nations, China-Cambodia relations in this new era are progressing toward a brighter future. He noted that CMG and Cambodian media have collaborated on these premium TV and film programs as a commendable measure to strengthen cultural exchanges and solidify the foundation of friendship between the two countries.

He expressed CMG’s eagerness to leverage this event as a springboard for extensive cooperation with Cambodian media, aiming to deepen cultural dialogue between China and Cambodia, thus enhancing the long-term development of their "iron-clad" friendship and building a Cambodia-China community with a shared future in this new era, while also promoting global peace, stability, prosperity, and development.

Khim Vuthy highlighted that Cambodia and China, close neighbors in Asia and both developing countries with a rich history of friendship, have traditionally supported each other and enjoyed strong exchanges in political, economic, and cultural arenas.

He emphasized that the broadcast of the selected seven films and TV series provides Cambodian audiences with a valuable chance to gain insights into contemporary China’s development and experience the unique charm of Chinese culture in a more intuitive manner.

Khvay Atitya noted that Cambodia and China have seen fruitful results in film and television cooperation, announcing that Apsara TV will be airing these premium programs. He further mentioned that the programs will offer a realistic, multi-dimensional perspective of China, fostering mutual understanding between the two peoples.
