CMG inaugurates robotic canine sports contest
CMG has introduced a new competition featuring robot dogs that showcases their athletic abilities.

Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, underscored in his address that the robotics industry has become a pivotal measure of a nation's technological innovation and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
He pointed out that China is currently the largest manufacturer and user of robots globally, expressing his hope that the tournament would propel the advancement of robotics technology for societal benefit and support China’s goal of emerging as a global technological leader, while promoting a shared future for humanity.
Chen Xuedong, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, highlighted that robotics represents a confluence of next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and high-end manufacturing, serving as a significant indicator of a nation's innovative capacity.
He acknowledged China's commitment to enhancing robotics research and industrial progress, aiming to nurture new productive forces and create new growth catalysts. Chen also expressed optimism that the competition would foster interaction among teams from various cultural and national backgrounds, thereby promoting global scientific cooperation and sustainable development.
The tournament convenes leading robotics research teams from across the globe, with the aim of establishing international standards through stringent competition criteria and scientific event design. It seeks to create a world-class robotics competition platform founded on Chinese standards, providing audiences with an exciting display of advanced technology and elite robotics challenges.
