Aircraft Overturns During Landing at Toronto Airport
Several individuals have been reported injured, according to local media sources.

On Monday, a plane flipped upside-down while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Paramedics report that at least eight people sustained injuries.

All flights were suspended following the incident, as noted by the Toronto Star.

Videos shared on X depict a Delta Air Lines aircraft overturned on a snow-covered tarmac, with people evacuating the scene.

One of the injured individuals is in critical condition, as stated by Peel Regional Paramedic Services Supervisor Lawrence Saindon.

The Delta Airlines CRJ-900 had arrived from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

The airport confirmed the incident involving the Delta plane, indicating that emergency response teams were on-site. “All passengers and crew have been accounted for,” said the Toronto airport in a statement on X.

Delta representatives had not responded promptly to a request for comment, according to Reuters.

Constable Sarah Patten of the Peel Regional Police in Ontario remarked, “There is a plane crash. However, we don't know the circumstances surrounding it at this point.” She noted that “most of the passengers” had exited the aircraft unharmed, but the investigation is ongoing.

This incident comes after a series of air mishaps in North America in late January. Among the tragedies, an American Airlines jet collided with an Army helicopter while landing at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C., resulting in the deaths of 67 individuals. In Philadelphia, a medical transport plane crash claimed the lives of seven people near a mall.
