Shaanxi in NW China and Turkmenistan Ink MOU for Luban Workshop Creation
On Friday, a ceremony took place in Xi'an City, the capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Turkmenistan for the joint establishment of a Luban Workshop. This event signifies the official launch of Shaanxi's inaugural Luban Workshop in Central Asia.
The initiative represents a significant collaboration that highlights the strong educational ties between China and Turkmenistan. It aims to foster highly skilled talent in the region, injecting new vitality and supporting economic and social development.
The MOU aligns with the goals of the China-Central Asia Summit and is designed to integrate deeper into the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China, which will enhance educational exchanges and cooperative efforts between China and Central Asian nations.
According to the MOU, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University of Turkmenistan, along with Xi'an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum University of Technology, China Education Association for International Exchange, and China National Petroleum Corporation, will collaborate to establish the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan.
This Luban Workshop will focus on developing talent through both formal and non-academic education in areas such as geological resource exploration, information systems, and technology, as noted in the MOU.
Additionally, the workshop will enable activities such as teacher and student exchanges, collaborative scientific research, and information sharing, aiming to forge a new platform for communication and cooperation, ultimately working towards building a closer community with a shared future between China and Turkmenistan.
Furthermore, this MOU represents the world's first Luban Workshop that encompasses master's, undergraduate, and vocational education comprehensively.
Shaanxi has already progressed into the significant construction phase of its inaugural Luban Workshop in Central Asia.
The Luban Workshop, guided by China's Ministry of Education, is dedicated to promoting and implementing the international vocational education brand, with a focus on nurturing skilled professionals who are proficient in Chinese techniques and knowledgeable about Chinese products.
