See Durov Exit French Court
Videos have emerged on social media showing Telegram co-founder and CEO Pavel Durov exiting French custody late Wednesday.

A Parisian court has officially charged the tech billionaire with multiple charges four days following his arrest at the airport upon his arrival in Paris. He is facing a series of allegations, including playing a role in managing an online service that facilitated illegal transactions by an organized group, with this particular charge potentially leading to a decade of imprisonment as per the details in a statement from French officials.

The charges outlined by the French prosecutor include enabling criminal activities that involve the distribution of drugs and child pornography, alongside accusations of fraud, money laundering, and resistance to cooperating with the authorities in sharing necessary information.

In the footage shared online, Durov is seen leaving a secured parking area while escorted by policemen. He briefly interacts with a colleague in a cordial manner before being driven away in a car with privacy windows. During this time, Durov did not engage with the media present.

Having citizenship in France, the UAE, and St. Kitts and Nevis, the Russian entrepreneur has been granted release on a bond valued at €5 million ($5.55 million). His release terms include a bi-weekly police check-in and a stipulation that he must stay in France during the ongoing investigation.
