Musk claims Harris would lead US into a ‘nightmare’
In a recent statement, Elon Musk suggested that the upcoming election could be America’s last if Donald Trump does not win, claiming that the Democratic Party may transform the nation into a de facto one-party state. The tech mogul's remarks come as the election approaches, with both parties ramping up their rhetoric. Democratic nominee and incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris has consistently described Trump as a significant threat to democracy.

Musk, who endorsed Trump in July, expressed a contrasting viewpoint in a post on X. He asserted, “Very few Americans realize that if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!”

He elaborated on his concerns regarding immigration, stating that if a small fraction of illegal immigrants were to gain citizenship annually, it could lead to millions of new legal voters in a few years. “Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year – something the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible – that would be about 2 million new legal voters in four years,” Musk said in response to a post discussing the eligibility of illegal immigrants for citizenship under the current administration.

He also accused the Biden/Harris administration of facilitating the relocation of 'asylum seekers' into key swing states, declaring, “Moreover, the Biden/Harris administration has been flying ‘asylum seekers,’ who are fast-tracked to citizenship, directly into swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona. It is a surefire way to win every election.”

Musk argued that if Democrats continue this trend, the political landscape could shift dramatically. He noted that swing states are often decided by narrow margins and warned that future elections could only feature Democratic primaries, akin to California's political evolution in the late 1980s. “America then becomes a one-party state, and democracy is over,” Musk concluded.

In reference to his experiences in San Francisco, Musk remarked on the city’s challenges: “Everywhere in America will be like the nightmare that is downtown San Francisco.” This reflection follows his decision to close X’s San Francisco offices, citing his frustration with security issues in the area affected by crime and homelessness.

Illegal immigration and border policies are key points of debate this election cycle, with Trump criticizing his Democratic opponents on these matters. He has condemned President Biden’s restoration of the Obama-era ‘catch and release’ policy, claiming it endangers public safety by allowing some convicted criminals among illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S.
