Finnish Trade Minister to Participate in CIIE in Shanghai
"China is an important trading partner for Finland, so it is useful to support export promotion and trade in sectors that benefit Finnish businesses. This is the fourth time that Finland has a national pavilion at the CIIE," Tavio stated in a press release.
The announcement highlighted that Shanghai hosts the largest concentration of Finnish businesses in China.
Tavio will head a Finnish trade delegation from November 4 to 8. Following engagements in Shanghai, the group will move on to Shenzhen in southern China, wrapping up their visit in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The seventh CIIE is scheduled for November 5 to 10 in Shanghai. The event has garnered participation from 152 countries, regions, and international organizations, also achieving a record with 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders confirmed to attend.
Since its debut in 2018, the expo has transformed into a crucial platform that showcases China's new development paradigm, encourages high-standard opening up, and creates opportunities for global trade.
Preparations for the event are almost finalized, as noted by He Yadong, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday.
Foreign bank cards will be accepted for catering payments at the CIIE. Additionally, the expo will include a 5,000-square-meter catering zone and offer food delivery services to all booths, the spokesperson added.
