FBI's UFO Investigators Worry About Potential Trump Layoffs - Politico
The president has mandated that all agents complete a questionnaire detailing their involvement in the January 6 investigations.

FBI agents who investigate UFOs are reportedly worried about the potential loss of their jobs after being asked to reveal any participation they may have had in the Capitol riot cases, according to PMG, which cites anonymous sources. Agents from a covert group dedicated to examining unidentified anomalous phenomena allegedly took part in the January 6 investigations.

On January 6, 2021, a large crowd of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to disrupt the certification of the 2020 election, resulting in a victory for Democrat Joe Biden. The ensuing confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement led to five fatalities and numerous injuries, including 140 police officers.

Following the events of that day, over 1,500 individuals were charged with federal offenses. Just a month after taking office, Trump commuted the sentences of 14 individuals linked to the riots and pardoned others.

In a report published on Monday, PMG stated that FBI personnel across the country, including those within the UAP working group, have been instructed to complete a questionnaire regarding their involvement in January 6 related cases.

“I have spoken to several agents from the UAP working group who are afraid of losing their role and the investigation getting unintentionally compromised,” said Ryan Graves, executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace. He noted that his organization has collaborated with the FBI unit in question.

The existence of the working group had not been previously disclosed, according to PMG. The publication’s sources indicate it includes a national program manager and over a dozen agents nationwide, whose responsibilities involve gathering intelligence, interviewing witnesses, and compiling classified data regarding UAP activity into reports.

Over the weekend, Reuters and AP, citing unnamed sources, reported that Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove had issued a memo indicating that assessments possibly leading to “personnel actions” within the federal agency were needed.

Approximately 4,000 FBI employees have been required to fill out the questionnaire concerning their roles in the January 6 inquiries, according to Reuters and AP.

Graves expressed to PMG that “these leaders might not be aware of the incredible work these agents are doing,” in reference to the UAP working group, voicing concerns that its investigations could be halted due to the potential purge.

Trump has consistently accused the FBI of bias against him and of being “politicized.” He has never acknowledged his defeat in the 2020 election, claiming the vote was rigged.
