Ex-supporter of Joe Biden to initiate a new political party
Florida attorney John Morgan has declared his intention to establish a new political party, expressing dissatisfaction with both the Democratic and Republican parties. Read Full Article at RT.com.

Morgan, who is the billionaire founder of the personal injury law firm Morgan & Morgan, has actively raised funds for Democratic campaigns over the years. He shared his announcement in a post on X, stating that the current two-party political system is inadequate.
“I am forming a new political party for those of us stuck in the middle. Our two-party system is broken due to Gerrymandering and divisive issues… both sides. No labels is not an option,” he mentioned, further indicating that the necessary paperwork for the party is in the works.
In the political arena, Morgan is no stranger to activism, having effectively supported constitutional amendments related to medical marijuana and the increase of the minimum wage in Florida. Additionally, he previously hinted at a potential run for governor of Florida, particularly as the upcoming gubernatorial election in 2026 will be open due to Governor Ron DeSantis being ineligible for re-election.
Last year, Morgan first proposed the idea of establishing a new party called the Capitalist Party. In a recent interview with Florida Playbook, he noted that “when you take the ‘D’ and the ‘R’ down, most of us agree on most things,” referring to the divide between the Democratic and Republican parties.
Having left the Democratic Party in 2017, Morgan cited disillusionment with its trajectory as the reason for his departure. While he has continued to support Democratic candidates, including Biden, he opted not to contribute to fundraising for former Vice President Kamala Harris during last year’s presidential race, stating, “she would not be my first choice.”
Despite his ties to the Democratic Party, Morgan has shown appreciation for President Donald Trump’s reelection efforts, commenting, “I don’t know if Trump is a stable genius, but he’s a f**king genius.” He remarked on Trump’s ability to tap into “anger and populism” among Republicans, reflecting on the former president's unique appeal in a December interview.
It remains uncertain when Morgan will officially register his new party, but he has encouraged his followers on X to "stay tuned" for further developments.
