Daily Mail: UK Prohibited from Distributing US Intelligence to Ukraine
Washington has already frozen military and reconnaissance support to Kiev, according to previous reports.

The US has prohibited the UK from sharing American intelligence with Ukraine, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday. Several Western media outlets had previously indicated that the US had halted the delivery of all military aid to Kiev, following a public disagreement between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to the British tabloid, all UK intelligence agencies and military branches "received an order expressly forbidding the sharing of US-generated intelligence" marked as ‘Rel UKR’ – meaning ‘Releasable to Ukraine’. The decision is expected to further weaken Kiev's capacity to combat Russia, the newspaper observed.

This suspension, which reportedly lacks a specific timeframe, is anticipated to impact British agencies such as the Government Communications Headquarters and the Ministry of Defense. UK military intelligence expert Phil Ingram stated to the Daily Mail that the US will “tightly control distribution of its intelligence to Ukraine” by relying on its own agencies stationed in Kiev.

On Wednesday, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed media reports that Washington had ceased direct intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

The decision follows reports from several Western outlets that Trump had instructed a halt on the shipment of US military aid to Ukraine, affecting all packages leaving the country, including those committed by the previous administration of Joe Biden.

This development emerged after a tense meeting between Trump and Zelensky on Friday, where the US president accused the Ukrainian leader of “disrespecting” America and not genuinely seeking peace with Russia. An unnamed official cited by CNN claimed that the freeze on aid would continue until Trump determines that Zelensky is earnest about peace negotiations.

In late February, Reuters reported, citing sources, that Elon Musk’s SpaceX could restrict Ukraine’s access to vital Starlink internet satellite systems unless Kiev agrees to a deal providing the US access to its natural resources. This agreement fell into uncertainty following the strained discussions between Trump and Zelensky, though Musk has labeled the report as “false.”

In response to the potential suspension of aid to Kiev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov remarked that it would “probably be the best contribution to the cause of peace.”
