Chinese premier leads State Council executive meeting

It was stressed that efforts should concentrate on enhancing the project review and management mechanisms, increasing the autonomy and flexibility of local governments moderately, and improving the efficiency of bond issuance. The meeting also highlighted the need for effective issuance and utilization of special bonds in the upcoming year to support economic recovery and growth.
Additionally, the meeting examined ways to promote the high-quality development of government investment funds, asserting that these funds must be managed in a market-oriented, law-abiding, and professional manner.
The gathering called for the improvement of accountability mechanisms and the cultivation of a supportive environment for innovation.
A report on a three-year initiative aimed at enhancing work safety was also presented, emphasizing the necessity of thoroughly investigating major risks and hidden dangers. The meeting advocated for strengthened measures to ensure the safety of individuals and property as the year comes to a close.
The revival of the football industry emerged as another significant topic, seen as crucial for transforming China into a strong sports nation. The meeting called for intensified efforts to implement measures for advancing football development.
Lastly, the meeting reviewed and approved a draft regulation concerning the management of China’s public security video image information system.
