China Evaluates Its Diplomatic Ties with Russia

Wang emphasized the robust and stable bilateral relationship between Russia and China during a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko in Beijing, as reported by RIA Novosti. He noted that this relationship is driven by a strong internal force, remaining resilient against global shifts and external pressures.
“Under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese-Russian ties maintain a healthy and stable development dynamic, not only meeting the common interests of the two countries, but jointly contribute to ensuring stability of international relations as well as protection of international laws and the UN Charter,” the minister said.
Wang expressed satisfaction with the relationship, urging for sustained strategic cooperation at all levels and in all areas. In response, Rudenko highlighted the remarkable state of Russia’s relations with China, indicating that they have never been stronger. He referred to a series of agreements made between President Vladimir Putin and President Xi Jinping during the 16th BRICS Summit held in Kazan, Russia.
China remains Russia’s largest trading partner, with economic collaboration on the rise despite significant Western sanctions imposed on Moscow. According to Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov, bilateral trade is projected to exceed $200 billion by the year’s end.
The two nations are also marking the 75th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moscow and the People’s Republic of China.
