A statue of Donald Trump has been unveiled at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The sculpture, titled 'The Defiance Monument,' features the former president raising his fist in the air, a gesture reminiscent of his response following an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last July. Following a bullet that grazed his ear, Trump stood up, raised his fist, and proclaimed, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
The incident involved multiple gunshots, resulting in one fatality and two others seriously injured. The assailant was shot and killed on the scene by US Secret Service snipers.
Trump participated in the unveiling ceremony of the statue on Saturday, taking photos with Anthony Constantino, the CEO of Sticker Mule, who presented the monument as a gift.
“The presentation of the statue to President Trump at his West Palm Beach Golf Course is absolutely incredible and exciting,” tweeted ABI, a supporter.
According to a statement from Sticker Mule’s press service, the president “gleamed with pride after seeing the seven-foot bronze monument for the first time.”
“The president was in a happy, joking mood which was great to see,” Constantino remarked.
