Report: Musk on Track to Be World's First Trillionaire
Tech mogul Elon Musk is poised to be the first person to amass a trillion-dollar fortune by 2027, according to predictions from Informa Connect Academy. This forecast, released on Friday, notes that Musk's wealth has been growing at an average annual rate of 109.88%.

Currently, Elon Musk holds the title of the world's wealthiest individual with a net worth topping $237 billion as per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He has played a significant role in founding several influential tech companies, such as electric vehicle producer Tesla, and SpaceX, a pioneer in aerospace manufacturing. Notably, Tesla boasts a market capitalization of $669.28 billion and is on course to reach the trillion-dollar threshold within the next year. In 2022, Musk also took over Twitter, rebranding it as X, and outlined his vision for enhanced openness and integrity on the platform.

The narrative of burgeoning trillionaires also includes other notable billionaires like Gautam Adani from India, Nvidia's Jensen Huang, and Prajogo Pangestu of Indonesia, all of whom are projected by Informa Connect Academy to reach the trillionaire status by 2028. Additionally, Bernard Arnault, head of the largest luxury goods conglomerate, LVMH, is expected to join this exclusive club by 2030.

Elon Musk first entered the Forbes Billionaires list in 2012 with an estimated worth of $2 billion. By 2021, he had ascended to claim the title of the richest person globally, overtaking Amazon's Jeff Bezos. Although he briefly lost this position to Arnault in December 2022 following a decline in Tesla's stock value, Musk regained his leading status six months later.
