Novak Djokovic of Serbia is one victory away from achieving his 100th career singles title after defeating Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria with a score of 6-2, 6-3 on Friday, earning a spot in the Miami Open men's singles final.

After experiencing an early setback when his serve was broken, Djokovic quickly regained his composure. He broke back in the following game and went on to secure another break to take a 4-2 lead, capitalizing on a mis-hit forehand from the 14th-seeded Dimitrov.

Djokovic closed out the first set when Dimitrov's volley went long and carried that momentum into the second set, racing to a 3-0 lead.

He clinched the match with an unreturnable serve on his second match point, improving his career record against Dimitrov to 13-1.

Demonstrating exceptional serving skills throughout the tournament in South Florida, the fourth seed showed no signs of slowing down in the semifinals. He made only six first serve errors while hitting five aces and committing just one double fault.

"After that first game, where I don't think I did anything wrong, he just played a phenomenal game to break my serve. I just felt I was in the flow," Djokovic remarked. "I was playing all the right shots, making him play an extra shot… overall another great straight-set win to put myself in a fantastic position to fight for a trophy in two days."

At 37 years old, Djokovic has participated in 307 Association of Tennis Professionals Tour-level tournaments throughout his illustrious career, winning 99 of them. Among the 76 Grand Slams he has contested, he holds a men’s record of 24 titles.

American legend Jimmy Connors leads with 109 singles titles during the Open Era, while Swiss icon Roger Federer has 103.

As Djokovic heads into Sunday’s final, he is heavily favored to capture a seventh Miami Open title, which would surpass Andre Agassi for the most titles at this prestigious Masters 1000 event.
