Nottingham Forest Advance to FA Cup Semifinals After 34 Years
Nottingham Forest made their way to the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 34 years, aided by a standout performance from Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels, who helped secure a 4-3 victory in a penalty shoot-out against Brighton on Saturday....

The quarter-final encounter at the Amex Stadium concluded in a 0-0 draw after extra time, putting Sels in the spotlight as he propelled Forest to Wembley.
Sels thwarted penalty attempts from Jack Hinshelwood and Diego Gomez. Although Neco Williams from Forest missed his shot, Ryan Yates coolly converted the decisive penalty to seal the win.
This season, Forest has also navigated past Exeter and Ipswich in earlier rounds through penalty shootouts, demonstrating their resilience.
Nuno Espirito Santo's squad is experiencing an exceptional season that could lead to Champions League qualification and their first FA Cup final appearance since 1991.
"It was such a stressful moment. Matz saved us again. He's been doing really well. It's the third time and we've always been successful. Credit to him," Nuno remarked.
"We are so happy. It's a huge moment for all of us to share with our fans. We have to focus on the Premier League but it's going to be a beautiful moment for all of us on our journey."
The last time Forest reached the FA Cup semi-finals was under Brian Clough's management, where they triumphed over West Ham before ultimately losing to Tottenham in the final. Forest will now join Crystal Palace in the last four, with the Eagles emerging victorious with a 3-0 win against Fulham in another quarter-final on Saturday.
On Sunday, Manchester City will face Bournemouth, while Aston Villa will take on Championship side Preston, the remaining non-top-tier club in this year's tournament.
