Musk Claims Zelenskyy Advocates for 'forever war' with Russia

In a recent statement, the tech billionaire launched a new criticism against the Ukrainian leader, asserting, “This is evil.”

Musk Claims Zelenskyy Advocates for 'forever war' with Russia
On Monday, Elon Musk criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing the Ukrainian president of wanting a “forever war” with Russia. Musk, known for his close ties to former President Donald Trump and his efforts to reduce the federal government's size, frequently shares his views on U.S. foreign policy and European issues on his social media platform, X.

In a post on X, Musk stated that Zelenskyy “wants a forever war, a never-ending graft meat grinder.” He further described the situation as “evil.”

In another message, Musk claimed that Zelenskyy had the option to “seek peace” with Moscow but chose to pursue conflict instead. He called this decision “cruel and inhumane.”

Initially, during the early days of Russia's full-scale invasion, Musk was celebrated as a key supporter of Ukraine after supplying thousands of Starlink satellite internet terminals to help restore communication services disrupted by Russian attacks. However, his stance shifted when he began to share views that Kyiv labeled as pro-Russian propaganda. He has since criticized the American aid to Ukraine, describing it as occurring “with no accountability and no end game,” and has directed strong criticisms toward Zelenskyy, deriding the president's calls for increased assistance and mocking his insistence that Ukraine cannot be compelled to negotiate.

Musk's recent comments come in the wake of an Oval Office meeting last week involving Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vice President JD Vance, which resulted in Zelenskyy being excluded from the White House. This development has raised concerns about the potential for the U.S. to withdraw support for Ukraine completely.
