Kanye West proclaims himself 'a Nazi' once more
The rapper sparked controversy on Friday after posting a series of offensive anti-Semitic messages on X, drawing significant backlash.

US musician and fashion designer Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, became embroiled in a new scandal when he shared dozens of inflammatory posts on the platform. In a series of now-deleted all-caps messages, the rapper declared himself “a Nazi” and expressed his “love” for Adolf Hitler, while making claims like “racist stereo types [sic] exist for a reason and they all be true.” His remarks were predominantly aimed at the Jewish community, filled with various anti-Semitic assertions.

In one post, Ye wrote, “Some of my best friends are Jewish and I don’t trust any of them.” He also mentioned plans to purchase “two Maybachs tomorrow” and insisted that “the Jewish person who’s selling it to me read all these tweet [sic].”

“And I bet you see me whipping Maybachs,” he continued.

The rapper further asserted that “all white people are racist,” claiming that “Jewish people actually hate white people and use black people.” Ye reiterated his commitment to his previous hateful comments, vowing never to apologize for them and suggesting that the Jewish community should be the ones to apologize to him.

“I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments. I can say whatever the f*ck I wanna say forever. Where’s my f*cking apology for freezing my accounts,” he stated.

Ye also seemed to reference X owner Elon Musk, asserting that each post he made “promotes Elon’s platform.” He brought up a controversy involving former US President Donald Trump’s inauguration, during which Musk faced allegations of making gestures interpreted by some as a Nazi salute. Musk had previously dismissed those accusations as “dirty tricks” and “pure propaganda.”

“Elon stole my Nazi swag at the inauguration,” Ye wrote.

This latest episode prompted an outcry from various rights organizations and Jewish groups, who condemned the musician for his anti-Semitic comments. “Once again, Kanye West has spewed vile antisemitism, glorifying Hitler and spreading Nazi propaganda on his social media platforms in a desperate bid for attention,” said Hadara Ishak, president of Jewish Future Promise, calling the remarks not just “offensive” but “dangerous” as well.

Shortly after Ye’s explosive posts, Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy announced the end of his collaboration with Ye’s fashion brand, though it was unclear if this decision was directly related to the outburst.

“I’m deeply grateful to Ye and the entire YEEZY team for a memorable experience – one that will always stay with me,” Rubchinskiy shared on Instagram.

Ye is no stranger to making anti-Semitic statements and has engaged in similar outbursts in the past. A notable incident occurred in late 2022 when he also expressed admiration for Hitler and identified as a Nazi, resulting in a ban on X and the termination of several business partnerships.

A year later, Ye issued an apology in Hebrew for his actions following the 2022 incident, but faced renewed criticism from rights advocates questioning his sincerity and choice of words.

“I'M NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANA SAY FOREVER WHERES MY FUCKING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS SUCK MY DICK HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY,” he declared in another post.

Ye, a 24-time Grammy Award winner, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016 and has been open about his mental health challenges. Earlier this week, he revealed he had also been diagnosed with autism.
