During a forum focused on climate change, Wan Gang, chairman of the WNEVC, emphasized the significance of international collaboration to tackle the challenges associated with new energy vehicle adoption and to foster a sustainable automotive industry.
In a separate forum addressing technological innovation and the future of automobiles, Lian Yubo, chief scientist at Chinese automaker BYD, shared his vision for the future, which centers on core innovations and intelligent systems aimed at alleviating traffic congestion and transforming vehicle interiors into multifunctional spaces, thereby nurturing a new connection between individuals and their vehicles.
The event is co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, the People's Government of Hainan Province, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. It includes 24 sessions designed to advance the sustainable development of the new energy vehicle sector and to enhance global cooperation toward achieving carbon neutrality.
The congress highlights a commitment to sustainable transportation and the critical role of new energy vehicles in meeting global climate objectives. Additionally, prominent international brands are showcasing their latest NEV technologies and products at the event.
