China issues new warnings for cold spells, powerful winds
On Saturday, China's meteorological authorities renewed blue alerts for cold waves and strong winds, forecasting significant temperature drops and powerful winds in various regions of the country over the next several days.

According to the National Meteorological Center, temperatures throughout most of China are predicted to decrease by six to 10 degrees Celsius from Saturday to Thursday.

In certain areas of northwestern, northern, and northeastern China, temperature declines of 12 to 14 degrees Celsius are anticipated, with some regions possibly experiencing drops of up to 16 degrees Celsius.

The National Meteorological Center has also issued a renewed blue alert for strong winds, stating that from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday, fierce winds are expected to impact regions in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xizang Autonomous Region, as well as the provinces of Qinghai and Gansu, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Taiwan Strait, the sea area east of Taiwan, and parts of the South China Sea.

Meanwhile, the Beijing Meteorological Service has issued a warning about a notable temperature drop starting Sunday evening, which could bring rain and snow to the city.

The service indicated that the western and northern parts of Beijing may experience conditions ranging from sleet to snowfall, while most urban areas and plains will likely see rainfall.

The precipitation is expected to cease by noon on Monday, followed by strong winds and freezing temperatures persisting until Wednesday.

China operates a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system, with red indicating the most severe weather, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
