CGTN Survey: Africa Values Principles of China-Africa Collaboration
A recent survey revealed that over 90 percent of respondents believe the practices and principles of China-Africa cooperation offer a valuable model for developing nations in international collaboration and have significantly contributed to reforming the global governance system.

According to a survey, more than 90% of participants believe that the China-Africa cooperation offers a fine example for developing nations regarding international collaboration and presents significant approaches for revising the global governance architecture.
This survey was carried out by CN alongside Renmin University of China through the New Era International Communication Research Institute, involving 10,125 participants from 10 African nations: Cameroon, Botswana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Tanzania.
"Sincerity" is how China treat its African friends. The country has supported African nations in finding modernization pathways suitable for their unique circumstances, positioning China-Africa cooperation as a paradigm for both South-South and broader international engagements with Africa.
Approximately 82% of those surveyed commend China for its respect, admiration, and support towards Africa, highlighting the mutual support and shared challenges between Chinese and African peoples.
Around 81% of participants recognized China's emphasis on unity and cooperation with African nations as a core aspect of its foreign policy.
Over 86% endorsed China's sincere, result-oriented, friendly, and honest approach toward Africa, expressing eagerness to further cultivate a close China-Africa community looking ahead to future collaboration.
"Real results" are what China aims to achieve in its cooperation with Africa. The establishing of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation has led to significant infrastructure improvements including the construction of over 13,000 kilometers of highways and railways, alongside the development of more than 80 large-scale power projects. Numerous impactful projects under the Belt and Road Initiative have also supported Africa's development.
Nearly 89% of respondents noted socio-economic enhancements due to China-Africa partnerships, with tangible benefits observed by African communities. Close to 92% mentioned infrastructure advancements within African nations, and about 75% indicated an improvement in living standards due to these collaborations.
Future collaborations between China and Africa are highly anticipated particularly in fields like science and technology, economic trade, education, healthcare, and agriculture.
"Amity" is a principle China follows in strengthening China-Africa friendship. The bond between nations is founded on the relations between their people, emphasizing a people-oriented approach in the evolution of China-Africa ties.
In the survey, practically 94% of the participants acknowledged the enduring friendship between China and Africa. About 90% felt that China-Africa cooperation has fostered deeper understanding and friendship between their peoples, with a similar percentage looking forward to more Chinese cultural initiatives in Africa.
"Good faith" should be honored in solving problems arising from cooperation. Amidst complex global scenarios, China and Africa collectively advocate for multilateralism while staunchly opposing protectionism and unilateralism.
