California Wildfire Ravages Hunter Biden's Home – Daily Mail
A devastating wildfire has resulted in the deaths of five individuals and the destruction of over 2,000 structures in the Los Angeles region.

According to the Daily Mail, a luxury property leased by Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, has been destroyed in the ongoing wildfire affecting the Los Angeles area. Former President Donald Trump has attributed much of the destruction to Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

The Palisades Fire ignited as a minor brush fire in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood on Tuesday morning. However, by Wednesday, it had intensified into a rapidly spreading blaze, fueled by hurricane-force winds, wreaking havoc across affluent communities between Santa Monica and Malibu. The latest reports from the Los Angeles Fire Department reveal that the wildfire has resulted in five fatalities, obliterated over 2,000 structures, and remains 0% contained.

Among the properties lost is a $4 million Malibu home rented by Hunter Biden and his wife, Melissa Cohen. Images published by the Daily Mail depict the property reduced to ruins, with only two stone chimney stacks still intact.

Hunter Biden was reportedly paying $15,800 monthly for the property, where he worked on his paintings, according to the Daily Mail. Additionally, a neighboring house used by Hunter’s Secret Service detail, costing taxpayers $16,000 per month, was also destroyed.

In remarks to reporters on Thursday morning, President Biden spoke about the fire’s impact on his son’s home but did not confirm its destruction. “My son lives out here and his wife. They got a notification yesterday their home was probably burned to the ground,” Biden stated. “Today, it appears that maybe [it's] still standing, but I'm not sure.”

Other prominent figures affected by the wildfire include heiress Paris Hilton and actors Billy Crystal, John Goodman, and Anthony Hopkins, as reported by various media and social media updates from the celebrities themselves.

Firefighters have faced challenges in combating the blaze, struggling with water shortages as hydrants in Pacific Palisades ran dry on Wednesday. Trump has criticized Governor Newsom for the water crisis, alleging that environmental concerns cited by Newsom prevented the signing of an order that would allow excess water from rain and snowmelt to flow into California, ultimately leading to devastating consequences for the residents of Los Angeles County.

The incoming president has also blamed Biden for diverting funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency toward environmental initiatives, a claim that has faced rebuttals from liberal media outlets.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has received backlash for traveling to Africa over the weekend despite warnings of an approaching windstorm in the area. Additionally, she has faced criticism for cutting the fire department's budget by $17.6 million the previous year. Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk labeled Bass “utterly incompetent” in a Wednesday post on X.
