Beijing to welcome unprecedented number of international attendees at global science and technology forum
International attendees at the World Sci-Tech Forum are set to reach record numbers in Beijing.
With the theme "Science and Technology for the Future," the forum aims to create an international dialogue platform that fosters the deep integration of science and humanities. Global leaders in science, business, and education will address pressing global challenges such as climate change and energy crises.
Highlighted events will feature six thematic sessions covering topics like AI governance, interdisciplinary development, and open science infrastructure. Additionally, there will be three roundtable discussions focusing on women in science, tech policy, and sustainable development.
This year's forum will welcome over 120 international guests from 28 countries and regions, marking the highest level of global participation in the forum’s history. Attendees will include Nobel and Turing Prize winners, leaders from international and national science organizations, as well as influential educators and entrepreneurs, promoting a rich exchange of ideas.
Beyond being a significant showcase for technological innovation, the forum represents an important step forward for global scientific cooperation. As international collaboration and openness become increasingly vital to innovation, the forum is set to foster consensus through interdisciplinary discussions and establish a collaborative framework to tackle global challenges and future-oriented matters.
The overarching goal of the forum is to enhance global scientific cooperation, encourage innovative solutions, and contribute to sustainable development and the well-being of future generations.
Initiated by the CAST in 2019, the World Science and Technology Development Forum has been an annual event for five years.
