At least one individual is dead and multiple others have been injured as a result of a terrorist attack in southern Israel, according to local officials.
On Sunday, Israeli police announced on X that they had received reports of a suspected shooting at the central bus station, stating that “the terrorist had been neutralized,” though they did not provide additional details.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, reported that nine people were injured during the incident and that the attacker was shot dead on the scene. The Times of Israel later confirmed that one victim, a 25-year-old woman who was in critical condition, had succumbed to her injuries.

Ynet identified the attacker as a member of the Bedouin community from the Negev region, noting his criminal history.
Graphic videos from the scene depict chaos, with an armed woman, seemingly a security guard, aiming her weapon at a male figure lying in a pool of blood. Other footage reveals another body on a bloodstained floor nearby.
This attack occurs amid ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, particularly following the assassination of the group’s long-time leader Hassan Nasrallah, regarded as a symbol of resistance against Israel.
