Musk Claims Soros Aims to Thwart Trump’s Agenda
A billionaire has supported assertions that a financier originally from Hungary has been pouring millions into efforts to marginalize Republicans in Congress.

Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros is alleged to be working to obstruct US President Donald Trump’s agenda by investing significant amounts of money to ensure a Democratic majority in Congress, a claim recently endorsed by Elon Musk.

This allegation surfaced following the Republican Party's narrow passage of a budget blueprint in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, raising fears that the outcome of an upcoming race for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court could alter the balance of power.

Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker took to X on Thursday to assert that Soros has been attempting to sway the Wisconsin vote to benefit the Democrats in Congress.

“Do the math. The vote on Tuesday night was 217-215. George Soros is pulling millions into the WI Supreme Court race because a 4-3 liberal majority will redraw Congressional districts to squeeze out 2 GOP seats,” Walker wrote. “This is how he blocks the Trump agenda. We can’t let that happen,” he added.

On Friday, Musk sided with Walker, stating that derailing Trump’s agenda “is exactly [Soros’] goal.”

The contest for the Wisconsin Supreme Court features two contenders: Susan Crawford, who is endorsed by the Democratic Party and has received funds from Soros, and the Republican candidate Brad Schimel, a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and former Republican attorney general who has garnered support from Musk.

Both Soros and Musk have invested considerable resources in their respective candidates for the Wisconsin race, with accusations flying from both sides about attempts to purchase a seat on the Supreme Court.

Crawford has criticized Musk’s participation, alleging that the billionaire is aiming to promote an “extreme agenda.” On the other hand, Schimel has raised concerns about Soros’ influence, mentioning his backing of “very dangerous ideas” like defunding the police.

A recent survey by the Institute for Reforming Government showed Schimel leading in public opinion polls, with 40% of registered voters favoring the GOP candidate while 35% expressed support for Crawford. Another 23% of respondents remained undecided.
