Milei of Argentina Advocates for Worldwide Alliance of Right-Wing Forces
The president asserts that liberal and socialist ideologies have resulted in "a whole century of humiliation" for Argentina and are detrimental to the world.

Argentine President Javier Milei expressed that global right-wing groups should unite to counter leftist and centrist ideologies, which he believes are turning the world into “hell.” He made these comments during an annual political festival in Rome organized by the right-wing Brothers of Italy party, led by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni.

As a right-wing populist, Milei emphasized the necessity of a collaborative approach among global right-wing factions to combat the liberal left, which he criticized as “the cult of power for power’s sake.”

“The left is proof that the most terrible ideas can triumph culturally if they are well marketed… it prefers to reign in hell than to serve in heaven. And, if they have to turn heaven into hell to stay in power, they will do it,” he stated at the Atreju event.

According to Milei, adhering to liberal ideology has led to “a whole century of humiliation” for Argentina, and he argued that “traditional politics” has brought the country “nothing but ruin.” He also identified the “extreme center,” which he claims disguises itself as socialism, as an opponent, saying its “position and tools are always functional to the criminal left.”

“There is no consensus between good and evil. That is why we are skeptical of any concept of a center that, on the surface, is moderate, but beneath the surface, is complicit and always functional to socialism,” he asserted, calling for nationalists worldwide to unite against these two “evils.”

Milei argued, “The only way to fight organized evil is with organized good. When the adversary is strong, the only way to defeat him is with greater force.” He warned that the world is experiencing “epochal changes” as the global system of “privileged castes” is disintegrating.

“We have to take responsibility for this reality and rise to the occasion, and the most effective way is to be together, establishing channels of cooperation throughout the world,” he urged, inviting Italian nationalists to join efforts in creating an “incipient right-wing international” alliance. To reinforce his point, Milei referenced Italy’s historic roots, stating that right-wingers “have to be like a Roman legion, which always prevails over larger armies, precisely because no one breaks the formation.”

Milei has been collaborating with Meloni to strengthen relations between their nations since last year. This weekend, as a sign of their growing ties, the Italian government awarded Milei and his sister Karina Italian citizenship.

This isn’t the first time Milei has advocated for uniting the right globally. Earlier this month at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Buenos Aires, he called on the right to unite and engage in a “cultural battle… to prevent leftists from gaining ground anywhere.”
