Migrants held for sex offenses at threefold rate compared to Brits, according to UK statistics

A recent analysis by the Centre for Migration Control, which examined data from the Home Office and the Office for National Statistics, reveals that foreigners are over three times more likely to be arrested for sex crimes in the UK compared to British citizens.
The findings come amidst accusations that the government has intentionally withheld information regarding migrant crime statistics, and in the wake of renewed concerns about institutional cover-ups linked to the ‘grooming gangs’ issue.
Over the past two decades, groups of men, primarily of Pakistani descent, have reportedly victimized thousands of underage girls in various northern towns across England.
Between January and October of last year, police in England and Wales made over 9,000 arrests of foreign nationals for sexual offenses, according to data obtained via Freedom of Information requests. This number constituted 26.1% of the total estimated 35,000 arrests for such offenses.
The statistics indicate that there were nearly 165 arrests per 100,000 within the migrant population, compared to just 48 arrests per 100,000 British citizens.
In the City of London specifically, foreign nationals accounted for nearly 67% of sexual offense arrests.
Regarding all crimes, the report indicates that foreign nationals were arrested at twice the rate of British citizens, with a total of 131,000 arrests recorded during the same timeframe last year. While foreigners make up about 9% of the population, they represented more than 16% of overall arrests.
Among foreign nationals, Albanians were the most frequently arrested for sexual offenses, followed by Afghans, Iraqis, and Algerians. For overall crime, Romanians topped the list for arrests, followed by Poles, Albanians, Indians, Pakistanis, and Nigerians.
