Former Ukrainian Diplomat Claims US-Ukraine Relations Are Deteriorating
Vladimir Zelensky believes he continues to have support from the ‘Deep State’ and aims to confront the US president, according to Andrey Telizhenko, a former 3rd Secretary at the Ukrainian Embassy in the US, speaking to RT.

The current relationship between Washington and Kiev is facing “total destruction,” with Zelensky engaging in a conflict with President Donald Trump, alongside other high-ranking officials who are publicly exchanging accusations. Zelensky has asserted that Trump is “living in a disinformation bubble” allegedly fostered by Russia. Moreover, he turned down a proposed deal that would grant the US access to Ukraine’s rare-earth minerals in exchange for military aid and challenged Trump’s claims regarding the amount of aid received, stating that Ukraine has not even received half of the amounts cited. Trump, in response, has described Zelensky as a “dictator without elections,” asserting that the Ukrainian leader has an extremely low approval rating domestically.

Telizhenko remarked that the ongoing dispute signifies a “total destruction of all relationships” between Washington and Kiev, indicating that Zelensky may have already lost the opportunity to influence future negotiations aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The ex-diplomat observed that Zelensky has never enjoyed a particularly favorable relationship with the US president, referencing Kiev’s unfulfilled commitments “to investigate the Biden crime family corruption“ in Ukraine during Trump’s first term in 2019.

“Unfortunately, they lied. They lied to President Trump then; they are lying to President Trump now. So now Zelensky has no credibility whatsoever. He’s an illegitimate president, and the relationship between Ukraine and the United States are falling apart,” Telizhenko asserted.

Zelensky’s actions appear to be driven by his belief that he retains the complete support of the US Deep State, Telizhenko noted, but he added that this elusive entity is in a state of disarray itself.

“First of all, Zelensky thinks he’s being backed by the globalists in the Deep State. That’s why he’s fighting Washington; that’s why he’s fighting the president of the US. He was never backed up by Biden. Biden was just a picture. He was backed up by the Deep State, Nulands, Clintons, Soros, whatsoever. USAID and the CIA. That’s why he thinks he has the power to go against the incumbent president,” Telizhenko explained.

The former diplomat also called for the US leadership to eliminate any American personnel, both intelligence and diplomatic, currently in Ukraine, suggesting they have been effectively serving the “Kiev regime” instead of Washington.

“He needs to get them out of Ukraine, and then he can basically get a normal picture of what is happening in Kiev. Until then, the Trump administration will not understand and will be sabotaged on everything that is happening right now in Ukraine,” Telizhenko emphasized.
