Enhancing Industrial and Supply Chains Elevates Global Manufacturing
The second China International Supply Chain Expo kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday. With the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," the event features representatives from global business communities who will participate in in-depth discussions about international cooperation in industrial and supply chains.
This year, the CISCE has welcomed 620 enterprises and institutions, marking a 20 percent increase compared to last year. The participation of overseas exhibitors has also increased, rising from 26 percent in the previous year to 32 percent. Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, noted that this trend reflects the international community's expectations for cooperation in industrial and supply chains and highlights the trust that enterprises from various countries place in the expo and China’s development.
During the CISCE on Tuesday, the Beijing Initiative for International Cooperation on Industrial and Supply Chains was unveiled, outlining five key points: advancing open cooperation in global industrial and supply chains; enhancing digital connectivity; promoting green and low-carbon development; improving industrial and supply chain services; and utilizing the unique role of the business community.
The focus of this year's CISCE is to facilitate the integration of various players within supply chains, encourage collaboration between large, small, and medium-sized enterprises, foster synergy between industry, research, and application, and enhance interaction between Chinese and foreign enterprises. This initiative aims to promote mutual engagement and achieve win-win cooperation between China and the world.
The CISCE underscores China's desire to invite business communities from more countries to participate in this initiative and work together toward building a secure, stable, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial global industrial and supply chain system.
