During his recent campaign trip, former US president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump traded his formal suit for an apron as he worked the fry station at a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, on Sunday.
He interacted with customers by serving them food at the drive-thru window and took the time to answer questions from the media.
“These people work hard. They’re great,” Trump remarked about the fast food workers. “I just saw something … a process that’s beautiful.”
In addition to engaging with customers, Trump seized the moment to mock his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, who claimed she worked at McDonald’s during her college years.
“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala,” Trump told reporters, reiterating his assertion that Harris “never worked at McDonald’s.”
