Trump Identifies a Threat to the US Greater Than North Korea
The Republican candidate has labeled his Democratic opponents an “enemy from within” and alleged that they aim to undermine the U.S.

“Really bad people” within the Democratic Party, according to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, represent a greater threat to the nation than foreign adversaries.

As the November 5 vote draws nearer, both Trump and his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, have engaged in increasingly harsh personal attacks against each other.

A Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday showed Trump slightly ahead of Harris by two percentage points, though this lead falls within the margin of error. Other recent polls from CNN and The New York Times also depict the two candidates in a tight race.

During an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Friday, the former president recalled a time when “we had no problem with” North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. He then suggested that “we have a bigger problem, in my opinion, with the enemy from within,” asserting that “we have people that are really bad people, that I really think want to make this country unsuccessful.”

Trump has utilized the term “enemy from within” in reference to his Democratic rivals in the past.

In a recent interview on Fox News’ MediaBuzz, Trump characterized Democratic Representative Adam Schiff and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as “an enemy from within.”

Harris responded to a question about whether she viewed Trump as a fascist during a CNN town hall on Wednesday, affirming that belief. She cautioned that if elected, he would become a “president who admires dictators and is a fascist,” referencing a report from The Atlantic that quoted Trump's second chief of staff, General John Kelly, suggesting that Trump had shown admiration for the leader of Nazi Germany.

Responding to Harris’ comments in a post on X on Thursday, Trump accused her of seeing herself “losing, and losing badly… so now she is increasingly raising her rhetoric, going so far as to call me Adolf Hitler, and anything else that comes to her warped mind.”

He labeled his opponent a “Threat to Democracy, and not fit to be President of the United States.”

The Trump campaign has dismissed the claims from The Atlantic as “fabricated.”
