Jay-Z Allegedly Involved in Assault of 13-Year-Old with P Diddy
The rap star has been included in a lawsuit initially filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs concerning an alleged sexual assault.

According to NBC News, the lawsuit alleges that rap star Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, raped a 13-year-old girl alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs at a party in 2000.

The lawsuit was filed in the Southern District of New York in October, initially naming only Combs as a defendant. On Sunday, the suit was refiled to include Jay-Z.

The anonymous accuser, identified as “Jane Doe” in the document, claims the assault took place during an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000 when she was only 13 years old.

The lawsuit alleges that the girl, without a ticket, was attempting to enter the show at Radio City Music Hall, seeking assistance from various limousine drivers. One driver reportedly indicated that he worked for Combs and suggested that she “fit what Diddy was looking for,” inviting her to a party after the show. She was told to return to his car later after he transported Carter and Combs.

Further details from the suit indicate that the driver picked her up and took her to a location described as a white house with a U-shaped driveway. Upon arrival, she was allegedly compelled to sign a document she believed to be a nondisclosure agreement in order to enter the party, where she was offered a drink that caused her to feel “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down.”

The document states that soon after she entered a room to rest, Combs and Carter appeared, with Diddy exclaiming, “You are ready to party!” Carter is accused of then removing her clothes, restraining her, and raping her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity looked on. The suit claims that Combs also raped the girl while Carter and the woman watched.

The lawsuit was filed and subsequently updated by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who also represents over a hundred other individuals with various sexual misconduct allegations against Combs. The rapper is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial. This lawsuit marks the first time Buzbee has included another high-profile defendant. He declined to comment on the latest updates to NBC News.

The report mentioned that “Carter received a letter from Plaintiff’s counsel requesting a mediation to resolve this matter” before the lawsuit was refiled on Sunday.

In response to the letter, Carter has filed his own lawsuit against the accuser’s attorneys. He characterized the allegations as “idiotic” and called out Buzbee for unprofessional conduct.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” Carter stated in a communication to NBC News. “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Diddy’s legal team asserted that the lawsuits are “shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
