Dubbed ‘Freedom Town, USA,’ the map is inspired by New York City, featuring the Statue of Liberty above clusters of skyscrapers amidst an ocean backdrop. It is adorned with pro-Harris slogans and decorated in the colors of the American flag.
“Squad up, go vote,” the Harris campaign announced on X on Saturday, introducing the map with the tagline “fight for freedom” and incorporating a song by rapper Megan Thee Stallion, who performed at one of Harris’ rallies in Atlanta in August.
The map also reflects the US vice president’s campaign priorities, such as tax breaks for small businesses and affordable housing. This initiative is part of a larger strategy by the Harris campaign to connect with gamers and attract younger voters overall.
Other efforts have included the Geeks & Nerds for Harris fundraiser, where Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz played Madden NFL and Crazy Taxi alongside Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Additionally, the campaign has placed advertisements in mobile games, sports betting platforms, and on YouTube.
With only a week remaining until Election Day, both Harris and her Republican opponent, former president Donald Trump, have been gathering celebrity endorsements. Notably, tech billionaire Elon Musk began appearing at Trump events last month, while pop star Beyoncé endorsed Harris during a rally on Friday in Houston.
