Musk Responds to Zelensky's Latest NATO Request
Elon Musk has shown confusion regarding comments from Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelensky about urging the White House for NATO membership for Kiev.

The South African tech billionaire was instrumental in Donald Trump’s recent presidential election victory and has often been referred to in the media as “first buddy” due to his frequent presence at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

On Monday, Musk shared a video from one of his preferred creators on X, Mario Nafwal, accompanied only by a ‘face with raised eyebrow’ emoji, a symbol that conveys “skepticism, doubt, disapproval, wonder, and confusion.”

Musk’s reaction came after Nafwal quoted Zelensky's statement: “I will ask Biden to invite me to NATO... there’s no point in talking to Trump.”

The 42-second video, which included English subtitles, featured Zelensky explaining in Kiev that Trump is not currently in the White House and that Joe Biden remains in office.

“I will call President Biden in the near future, if he has the opportunity to speak to me, and raise the question of the NATO invitation, because he is the current US president and much still depends on his position,” Zelensky remarked. “There is no point in discussing that with President Trump while he is not in the White House, it does not depend on him.”

While Musk has offered Ukraine the Starlink satellite communication system, he has also advocated for pursuing peace with Russia. Trump has invited him to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency advisory body.
