Musk Contributes $75 Million to Trump's Campaign Efforts
The billionaire has confirmed his contribution to America PAC, becoming one of the top donors supporting the Republican nominee.

Elon Musk has revealed that he donated $75 million to a pro-Donald Trump organization in recent months. Founded by Musk in July, America Political Action Committee aims to enhance voter turnout for the Republican nominee in key battleground states that could determine the outcome of the presidential election on November 5.

With a net worth of $246.5 billion, Musk has historically supported both Republican and Democratic candidates without showing a strong preference for either party. However, following a failed assassination attempt on Trump on July 13, he publicly endorsed the GOP candidate and has actively supported him since then.

In response to a post by another user on X, who mentioned that “Elon Musk has given nearly $75 Million to @America PAC,” the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla confirmed with a simple one-word response.

Earlier that same day, Reuters and Bloomberg reported, citing Federal Election Commission disclosures, that Musk had contributed nearly $75 million to America PAC from July to September. Reports indicate that Musk was the only donor to the group during that timeframe, positioning him as one of the leading Republican donors.

America PAC primarily focuses on recruiting canvassers and running digital advertisements aimed at mobilizing Trump supporters to vote.

On Sunday, Trump announced that if elected, he would establish a “new position: secretary of cost-cutting,” specifically for Musk. Trump described Musk as a “great business guy” and mentioned that the entrepreneur had already indicated he was willing to accept the role.

Earlier this month, the billionaire joined the former president at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was shot and wounded in July. During the rally, Musk called the November 5 election the “most important election of our lifetime” and accused Democrats of intending to “take away your freedom of speech.”

Bloomberg's report on Wednesday stated that the Republican nominee was significantly trailing his opponent, Kamala Harris, in terms of fundraising. This disparity has enabled Harris to launch an active voter mobilization campaign across all seven battleground states, as noted by the media outlet.
