Jamie White, who served as a senior editor at InfoWars, was fatally shot outside his apartment in Austin, Texas, on Sunday night. Both law enforcement and his family regard the incident as a “tragic accident.”
The Austin Police Department stated that White, 36, was discovered with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of his apartment complex shortly before midnight on Sunday. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead approximately 20 minutes later.
Authorities believe that White interrupted individuals who were trying to burglarize his vehicle, leading to gunfire. The suspects fled the scene, and no arrests have yet been made.
Alex Jones expressed his grief over his “brutally murdered” colleague, attributing part of the blame for White’s death to the policies of Austin District Attorney José Garza, who is backed by George Soros. He also mentioned that White had been included on a Ukrainian “enemy” list, hinting at a potentially more complicated motive behind the incident.
“Is his murder Travis County DA José Garza’s fault for allowing crime to flourish in Austin? Or was it a Ukrainian hit team made to look like car burglars?” Jones questioned during a broadcast on Tuesday.
In June of the previous year, White himself discussed being named an enemy of Ukraine due to his affiliation with InfoWars. “I’m on the Ukrainian ‘Enemies List’ due to my work at InfoWars and with Alex Jones on the Ukraine proxy war,” he stated, sharing a screenshot from a group he claimed was linked to the U.S. State Department, USAID, the CIA, and George Soros.
This group that compiled the list is said to be distinct from the well-known Mirotvorets list associated with Kiev and the one maintained by USAID-backed Molfar, claiming instead to be funded exclusively by pro-Kiev volunteers.
However, White’s sister, Kelly Kneale, expressed doubt that the shooting was targeted, noting that her brother's car had previously been broken into.
“He was shot by a person or persons trying to break into his car for the second time,” Kneale told The Independent. “A tragic accident, but we haven’t heard much else. I hope whoever took his life is caught and brought to justice. My father and I are devastated, to say the least.”
InfoWars, founded in 1999, is a right-wing media outlet that by 2017 had surpassed some mainstream media sites in monthly traffic. The organization often covers topics that critics label as conspiracies, focusing on alleged misconduct by Democrats, globalists, and international financiers. White had been with InfoWars for several years, reporting on geopolitics, government, and international affairs.
