During a short visit at the Butler rally, Musk encourages Trump backers to cast their votes
As Elon Musk took to the stage, the enormous audience sprang to their feet in cheers, marking a peak moment in a rally that had moments of notable seriousness.
“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America,” stated the billionaire entrepreneur, who has become a prominent supporter of Trump, noting that a Democratic victory would signal the “last election.”
Musk, known as the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, previously endorsed Trump on the same day as the assassination attempt against him, approximately 12 weeks ago, sharing a video on his social media platform showcasing Trump’s raised fist and expressing, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
“The true test of someone's character is how they behave under fire, and we had one president who couldn't climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot,” Musk remarked during the rally.
As Musk took the stage, the crowd of thousands erupted in applause, creating a high-energy moment in what was otherwise a somewhat somber rally atmosphere.
Throughout the 2024 election cycle, Musk has significantly influenced support for Trump, lauding him on social media while also critiquing Democrats and Vice President Kamala Harris. This includes a now-deleted statement in which he asserted, “no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala.”
In July, Musk indicated he would contribute $45 million monthly to a super PAC backing Trump, although he has since reduced that pledge. He also supports America PAC, instrumental in Trump’s efforts in key battleground states.
In August, Musk interviewed Trump during a glitchy event on X, and just last month, Trump hinted at offering Musk a position that would elevate him to the status of an American oligarch.
“Vote, vote, vote,” Musk urged the crowd. “Fight, fight, fight.”
