Documents on constructing 'Beautiful China' released serially
Release of serial documents regarding the construction of 'Beautiful China'
These documents include guidelines for initiating pilot projects focused on the creation of a "Beautiful China," along with two plans specifically addressing the development of "Beautiful Urban Areas" and "Beautiful Rural Areas."
The initiative to construct a "Beautiful China" will prioritize enhancing pollution prevention and control, improving ecological environments, and boosting citizens' quality of life, as outlined in the guidelines.
The proposed pilot projects will be implemented at various levels, including regional, provincial, and municipal administrations, according to the guidelines.
Pei Xiaofei, a spokesman for the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, stated, "We will work at our best to yield innovations in theory and practice by the end of 2027. We will also work to complete the development of several demonstration models that have their own unique characteristics and also meet the expectations of the broad masses of the people, so as to accumulate experience and set examples for comprehensively promoting the construction of 'Beautiful China.'"
Additionally, the documents mention that around 50 cities will be selected to implement projects aimed at building a "Beautiful China" across five key areas: green and low-carbon development, environmental enhancement, living environment quality, health and safety, and smart, efficient governance.
For the development of "Beautiful Rural Areas," the documents specify that China aims to transform 40 percent of its counties into "Beautiful Rural Areas" by the end of 2027, with 60,000 administrative villages nationwide set to complete their environmental improvements.
