Al Ittihad mounts a comeback from a two-goal deficit to defeat Ronaldo's Al Nassr
Houssem Aouar scored a last-minute goal that secured a thrilling 3-2 victory for Al Ittihad over Al Nassr on Wednesday, marking a dramatic turnaround from a 2-0 deficit and bringing the club closer to the Saudi Pro League title.

The match began with Sadio Mane putting the hosts ahead with a low shot just three minutes in. Later, Mane assisted Ayman Yahya, who extended Al Nassr's lead in the 37th minute. Despite appearances that the ball may have grazed Mane's hand during the play, the goal was upheld following a Video Assistant Referee review.

After halftime, Al Ittihad dominated the match, with Karim Benzema reducing the deficit to one with a header in the 49th minute. The comeback continued as N'Golo Kante equalized for Al Ittihad, finishing a counterattack by slotting the ball into the net.

In stoppage time, Algerian midfielder Aouar clinched the win from close range, converting a cross from Moussa Diaby.

With this victory, Al Ittihad, who has also reached the King Cup final, increased their lead at the top of the table to 71 points, now six points clear of Al Hilal with just four matches remaining.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, now sitting in fourth place with 60 points, faced a significant setback in their aspirations to qualify for next season’s Asian Football Confederation Champions League Elite. Following the defeat, they find themselves five points behind second-placed Al Hilal, with the season drawing to a close. Al Ahli, who recently captured the continental title, will represent Saudi Arabia alongside two other league teams in the next tournament.
