Tucker Carlson Claims Washington Elites Aim to Burden Trump with World War
Tucker Carlson has stated that anyone seeking a conflict with Russia or Iran should be barred from government positions.

According to the former Fox News host, Donald Trump’s adversaries in Washington, DC are attempting to obstruct the incoming president's efforts to reveal their wrongdoings by instigating a global war for him to face upon his inauguration in January.

Carlson, a supporter of the agenda that contributed to Trump securing a second presidential term earlier this month, noted that the Republican leader has committed to resolving America’s issues and reducing the country’s involvement in overseas conflicts.

“Permanent Washington doesn’t care about domestic policy,” Carlson stated during a discussion on the online political talk show Redacted on Monday. “What they care about is exercising power abroad: killing people, because it makes them feel like God, and making money. And that’s where the money is, trillions of dollars.”

He referred to a group that “is basically everyone in DC in both parties,” suggesting they are pushing for Trump to lead the nation into war, “either against Russia, or, far more likely, Iran.” They view such an event as “the only way to stop Trump and the disclosure that a Trump administration will bring,” he asserted.

Carlson warned that an attack on Iran would likely lead to a world war, just as heightened tensions with Russia would. “This is not 2002. Iran is now part of a coalition that includes the biggest economies in the world and the largest militaries in the world,” he pointed out, listing Russia, China, and Türkiye as potential allies of Tehran.

He further stated that anyone backing the continuation of the Ukraine conflict lacks “the requisite wisdom to lead my country.” “Anybody who would even consider having a war with Russia or Iran should not be in any position of power at all, in this administration or any other administration,” he emphasized, calling the assessment “super simple.”

During his campaign, Trump asserted that he could resolve the Ukraine conflict in 24 hours. Following his electoral success, outgoing President Joe Biden approved strikes involving long-range Western missiles deep inside Russia, a move that Moscow signaled would cross a red line.

In response, Moscow launched a new hypersonic missile at a military facility in Ukraine. This missile, known as the Oreshnik, is reported to be nuclear-capable and has the range to hit any target in Europe. President Vladimir Putin has claimed that Western anti-ballistic missile systems cannot intercept it.
