Organizers revealed that tickets for the Winter Olympics, taking place from February 6 to 22, will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis through the official website.
An early bird promotion offering discounted prices for select sessions began when the one-year countdown started and will be available until May 6.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee reported that more than 660,000 tickets have been sold during initial pre-sale phases, reflecting substantial interest from both domestic and international audiences. Notably, ticket holders from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and France composed a significant portion of early sales, with individuals aged 25 to 34 being the most active buyers.
Each purchaser can acquire up to 25 digital tickets, which are nominative and require the ticket holder's name. Free name changes will be allowed starting in December via the official ticketing app. Additionally, children aged three and under can attend for free if they are seated on a guardian's lap.
Visa has been designated as the official payment method. Organizers stressed that tickets and hospitality packages should only be obtained through official channels to mitigate the risk of non-delivery or invalid tickets.
The Winter Olympic Games will feature 16 days of competition featuring 116 events across venues including Milano, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Bormio, Livigno, and the historic Arena di Verona, which will be the site of the closing ceremony. The Paralympic Games will span nine days with events awarding 79 medal titles and expect over 600 athletes to participate.
