How Trump Unexpectedly Turned into a Champion of Feminism
The prohibition against biological men participating in women's sports is a genuine effort to safeguard women's rights, in contrast to much of the left's previous posturing. Read Full Article at RT.com.

It was US President Donald Trump – a man who looked at Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner, and thought, “Now there’s a guy with life figured out” – who somehow became the only leader willing to address the bizarre situation of biological males overpowering women in sports, such as rugby, and then entering their locker rooms. Meanwhile, intersectional third-wave feminists remain on the sidelines, essentially functioning as cheerleaders for these individuals.
After a male athlete dominated the women’s college swimming championships, the NCAA announced on Thursday that it would halt the practice of allowing biological men to compete in women’s events, permitting only those whose assigned gender at birth was female.
This decision followed Trump’s executive order earlier that week, which threatened to withdraw federal funding from institutions that allowed biological males to compete against women. “If you let men take over women’s sports teams or invade your locker rooms, you will be investigated for violations of Title IX and risk your federal funding,” Trump said.
Under Title IX, a significant civil rights law that was a major victory for feminist figures from the 60s and 70s such as Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, and tennis icon Billie Jean King, colleges receiving federal funding could no longer have sports teams and scholarships reserved solely for men. It transformed sports into a platform for social mobility and opportunity for young women as well. However, much of this progress has been reversed, mostly without a peep from feminists.
How did Donald “grab her by the p***y” Trump become the figure to recalibrate the conversation around this issue?
Some may argue that feminism itself has been ideologically compromised by radical leftism, to the point where even second-wave feminists, once viewed as radical for advocating women’s rights to own property, have credit cards, or retain their surnames after marriage, appear almost conservative compared to today’s feminists.
Feminism did not require intersectionality, which has muddied the focus on enhancing women's lives. There is ample work to be done, especially since the MeToo movement exposed the long-standing silence surrounding systemic mistreatment and abuse faced by women in the media and entertainment industries.
I’ve experienced it firsthand; despite being hired for my political insight at a New York cable news network, I was told to simply laugh at my co-host's jokes, deferring to him while manipulating my appearance on camera. The underlying message was clear: comply or risk being replaced by another woman willing to adhere to such dynamics. If you’re on the right politically, finding allies among feminists can be nearly impossible, as leftist causes now overshadow the defense of women, particularly if those women don’t meet certain ideological standards.
Instead of challenging the increasingly institutionalized corruption associated with globalist leftism, contemporary feminists have absorbed it into their agenda, intermingling their struggle with a myriad of other issues that distract from their original mission. If one aimed to derail the feminist movement and render it ineffective in defending women, combining it with topics like climate change and gender identity could effectively neutralize its power.
According to the United Nations’ “Feminist Climate Justice Framework for Action,” released in 2023, “economic hardship wrought by a heating planet is having additional knock-on effects for gender equality. Evidence shows that as communities are plunged into recurrent crises, tensions within families and between partners rise and gender-based violence escalates.” Essentially, rising temperatures lead to rising tempers.
And, what’s the proposed solution? More government funding to combat climate change, naturally.
I highly doubt that a single woman has found her life improved by funneling taxpayer money into what many deem a climate change scam. Perhaps if individuals were allowed to retain more of their income rather than contributing to such endeavors, they would have greater freedom to make decisions best suited to their circumstances, whether that means leaving a toxic environment or escaping the oppressive heat of summer.
Feminists have embraced leftist causes that offer little in the way of supporting their original fight—issues that align with corrupt organizations like USAID, which allocates funds to NGOs meddling in the internal politics of other nations, often under the guise of promoting diversity. This undermines genuine feminist goals by inadvertently supporting systems that perpetuate patriarchy and contribute to instability and violence for women worldwide.
This ideological shift has had detrimental effects on the average woman. When Trump campaigned on a platform of dismantling the corruption contributing to the struggles of the working and middle classes, he garnered more support among women than Joe Biden did in 2020, even while running against a female candidate, former Vice-President Kamala Harris. Many women apparently felt their lives were affected by issues beyond abortion rights, a concern that was also sidelined by Biden and Harris, who promised action only if Congress provided legislation.
The same Democratic leaders praised by today’s feminists did not intervene to defend women against men identifying as women as they took over women’s sports.
Second-wave feminists, who have spent decades advocating for women’s equal opportunity by promoting the Equal Rights Amendment, inexplicably failed to react or, in some cases, cheered as Title IX was undermined. How does permitting men to take opportunities and resources from women further the cause of female advancement?
It doesn’t. It’s unfortunate that this lack of interest in addressing the issue, or outright support for the erosion of women’s rights, has led to a man stepping in to take action.
Women voicing opposition to this injustice are often dismissed as right-wing populists not aligned with feminist ideologies. However, right-wing women can still advocate for feminism and the pursuit of equality and freedom. They recognize the corrupt establishment as the principal obstacle to social mobility, working against “elite” interests and the Orwellian strategies that many leftist feminists have supported.
Imagine if our sisters on the left ceased their support of the globalist agenda and instead united to combat the real challenges we face. Consider the achievements we could accomplish if we prioritized fighting the true sources of our struggles rather than squabbling among ourselves.
