The Zhejiang Guangsha Lions showcased their strength with a 118-103 victory over the Jilin Northeast Tigers on Tuesday night, securing their second straight win and reinforcing their spot at the top of the CBA standings. From the outset, Zhejiang...

From the outset, Zhejiang demonstrated their prowess, racing to a remarkable 34-19 lead in the first quarter that set the foundation for their dominant performance. Despite Sun Minghui's absence, other players rose to the occasion, notably Barry Brown Jr. On the other side, Jilin star Dominique Jones struggled against robust defense, resulting in limited chances for easy shots.
Zhejiang further extended their lead in the second quarter with a 9-4 run, pushing it to 20 points. Jilin made attempts to rally in the final quarter, but they found it difficult to significantly chip away at Zhejiang's advantage. Ultimately, the more dynamic Zhejiang secured the win on the road.
In another matchup, the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey King managed to overcome a first-half deficit to beat the Liaoning Dinosaurs 106-97. Liaoning came out strong in the opening quarter, employing an aggressive offensive strategy that saw Zhao Jiwei, James Webb, and Dezmine Wells consistently draining three-pointers. However, their defensive efforts fell short, as they struggled to contain Kendric Davis and T. J. Leaf, both of whom contributed significantly to Nanjing's scoring—with Davis netting 18 points in the first half alone. Nanjing went into halftime trailing 53-60.
As the third quarter began, Nanjing quickly embarked on a 7-point run to tie the game. Liaoning struggled with their outside shooting in that period and relied on offensive rebounds for points. Nanjing capitalized on this, with Davis hitting a driving layup that allowed them to take the lead, heading into the fourth quarter with a 7-point cushion.
In the final quarter, Liaoning worked to close the gap through steady scoring. Nevertheless, Leaf and Guo Haowen collaborated effectively to help Nanjing maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory at home.
