UK Civil War 'Inevitable' – Musk
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has voiced his concerns over the violent anti-immigration protests occurring in various UK cities, suggesting that the nation could be on the brink of a civil war. This comes in the wake of numerous demonstrations triggered by a tragic knife attack in Southport, England, which resulted in the deaths of three children and injuries to others. The assailant was identified as Axel Rudakubana, a 17-year-old born in Britain to Rwandan parents, dispelling circulating rumors asserting the attacker was a Syrian migrant.

The widespread unrest has been seen in cities such as Liverpool, Nottingham, Leeds, Belfast, Stoke-on-Trent, Blackpool, and Hull. Coverage shows protesters vocalizing anti-immigrant and anti-Islam rhetoric, engaging in destructive actions like setting fires and igniting fireworks, leading to vehicles and buildings being damaged. While these manifestations have seen significant disorder, not all have resulted in violence. Some have led to confrontations with the police, with numerous arrests and injuries reported among the officers involved.

Musk's stark prediction came as a response to a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter), which attributed the disorder to the UK's immigration and border policies. He commented: “Civil war is inevitable.”

In light of the events, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has issued stern warnings to those participating in the unrest, stating that individuals engaging in such behavior will face severe consequences. In parallel, the office of Prime Minister Keir Starmer asserted the government's support for police measures necessary for maintaining public safety.

Amidst the turmoil, Richard Dearlove, former MI6 chief, has suggested that external influences might be exacerbating the situation, pointing to Russian involvement in disseminating false information about the attack's perpetrator. The misinformation campaign is reportedly being conducted via Channel3Now, a website thought to be linked to Russia. Conversely, the Russian Embassy in London has refuted these allegations, labeling them as "predictable gaslighting" and criticized Dearlove’s past roles in regional destabilizations.

The backdrop of these incidents is the UK's ongoing struggle with significant migrant influxes, which has persisted for several years. Recent statistics indicate that the net migration figure stood at 685,000 in the past year, with the highest numbers coming from India, Nigeria, China, Pakistan, and Ukraine.
