Trump warns Zuckerberg of potential life imprisonment – Politico
According to a new book by former US President Donald Trump, he has accused Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, of being unfavorable towards him during the 2020 election. Trump’s book, titled ‘Save America,’ includes a photograph of a meeting with Zuckerberg at the White House and claims the CEO was conspiring to undermine his presidency. An excerpt of this book was made available to Politico.

In the book, Trump references Zuckerberg's actions during their meetings, writing under a photo that Zuckerberg “would come to the Oval Office to see me. He would bring his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true plot against the president.”

Trump suggests that Zuckerberg’s actions in 2020, supported by a $420-million donation for election infrastructure by Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, were biased against him. He quotes Zuckerberg as having praised his popularity on Facebook while accusing him of steering the platform in a way that worked against him.

In his own stern warning, Trump cautions Zuckerberg and others from engaging in wrongdoing in the next election, stating, “We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time he will spend the rest of his life in prison – as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

This recent publication aligns with earlier declarations made by Trump. In July, he proclaimed on his Truth Social platform that he intends to aggressively pursue election fraud, warning, “We already know who you are. Don’t do it! Zuckerbucks, be careful.”

Conversely, Zuckerberg recently assured in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan that he regrets not opposing demands from officials in President Joe Biden’s administration to restrict certain content on Facebook during 2021. He vowed that Meta would not yield to such pressures in the future, maintaining a stance of political neutrality as the next election approaches.
