Fox News settles lawsuit with Tucker Carlson producer for $12M
The development is another blow to Fox News, which has continued to battle legal woes.
Abby Grossberg, a former producer on Tucker Carlson Tonight, will receive $12 million after settling two lawsuits against Fox News and Carlson.
“Abby is a trailblazer,” Tanvir Rahman, one of her attorneys, said in a statement. “It is my hope that today’s settlement announcement will inspire other women like her to come forward and tell the world their story. We want to hear your voice.”
Fox News was pleased to resolve the suit without litigation, a spokesperson for the network told POLITICO in a statement.
Grossberg initially filed a lawsuit in March alleging the company pushed her to lie in sworn testimony. She then filed a separate suit accusing Carlson and Fox News of allowing a toxic and misogynist work environment.
Carlson denied Grossberg’s allegations and mutually agreed with Fox News to leave the network in April.
The development is another blow to Fox News, which has continued to battle legal woes, including settling a lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for more than $787 million.
