Pavel Durov, the CEO and founder of Telegram, has been taken to a courthouse in Paris for a judicial decision following his arrest last Saturday, as reported by multiple media sources.
AFP, citing an acquaintance with the case, mentioned that Durov’s custody ended on Wednesday. He was subsequently released from police detention and brought to court to determine if he will face charges. A decision by the judges is expected by 8pm local time (18:00 GMT), as per Reuters.
Social media posts show footage of two vehicles equipped with sirens and lights departing from the anti-fraud bureau, where Durov was believed to be detained.
