CISCE Wraps Up, Over 6,700 Cooperation Agreements Inked
The 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo, which took place from November 26 to November 30, successfully concluded with more than 6,700 cooperation agreements established.

Organizers reported that the expo fostered connections between international exhibitors and over 37,000 suppliers across various industrial chains, engaging more than 18,000 key clients in the process.

Looking ahead, sixty-eight enterprises and institutions from both domestic and international backgrounds have already registered for next year's event.

This year's expo featured participation from over 620 companies, institutions, and international organizations, reflecting a 20 percent increase compared to the inaugural event. Notably, the representation of overseas exhibitors grew from 26 percent to 32 percent, with European and American firms comprising half of that total.

Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, highlighted that "the five-day event has attracted about 200,000 online and offline audiences in total, an increase of one-third compared with the first expo. A total of 160,000 are offline audience," and noted that more than 1,000 exhibitors took part in the event.

Preliminary statistics indicate that the cooperation and intention agreements signed during this year's CISCE involve over 152 billion yuan, as stated by Zhang.

The expo also saw the release of significant documents such as the Beijing Initiative for International Cooperation on Industrial and Supply Chains and the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report 2024.

The Beijing initiative seeks to foster stable and smooth global supply chains and advocates for "practicing true multilateralism, enhancing trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, opposing protectionism, and enhancing international industrial specialization and collaboration."

Meanwhile, the Global Supply Chain Promotion Report 2024 features global supply chain maps for 11 key industries, including humanoid robots, smart cars, integrated circuits, wind power, coffee, and cotton. These maps display the distribution of supply chains across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, as well as identifying leading economies and companies at each stage.

With the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," this year's expo focused on the interconnected nature of the supply chain, showcased through its booth layout and exhibition zones, highlighting key processes throughout the entire supply chain spectrum, from upstream to downstream.
