Trump Says, "Putin has offended me"
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump expressed his displeasure after Russian President Vladimir Putin voiced support for his electoral opponent, US Vice President Kamala Harris.

At an economic forum in Vladivostok on Thursday, Putin was questioned if he had a preferred candidate in the US election, to which he responded that following Biden's endorsement of Harris, he would "will support her as well."

Additionally, Putin remarked that "Trump imposed more sanctions on Russia than any president who came before him," and hinted that Harris "would maybe refrain from such actions."

Trump, speaking at a campaign rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, criticized the White House for its allegations of Russian interference in the elections, dismissing them as a resurfacing of past claims.

“Oh no, it’s Russia, Russia, Russia all over again,” Trump declared, asserting that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine wouldn't have occurred under his presidency.

“I knew Putin. I knew him well. And you know, he endorsed – I don’t know if you saw the other day – he endorsed Kamala,” Trump articulated. “I was very offended by that. I wonder why he endorsed Kamala.” He further considered whether Putin had mentioned Harris “with a smile.”

Some US media outlets, such as CNN, speculated that the Russian leader might have been "simply trolling" Harris. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov avoided clarifying Putin's comments, noting that US domestic affairs are not a Kremlin priority.

Harris has not yet made a statement regarding Putin's remarks, whereas the White House has declared that Putin "shouldn't be favoring" any candidate.

In his bid for reelection, Trump frequently promised swift peace talks between Moscow and Kiev, claiming he could resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict "in 24 hours." Peskov responded skeptically, stating Trump lacked "any magic wand" and suggested the US halt its arms supplies to Ukraine.
