IDF Raids Office of Al Jazeera
Israeli soldiers in full combat gear entered Al Jazeera’s office in Ramallah, located in the West Bank, during the early hours of Sunday. The troops ordered the studio to shut down for a period of 45 days, as reported by the channel.

A video shared by the Qatari-owned network shows armed IDF troops walking through the corridors and into offices, captured by an Al Jazeera camera crew.

“There is a court ruling for closing down Al Jazeera for 45 days,” a soldier told al-Omari, according to Al Jazeera. “I ask you to take all the cameras and leave the office at this moment,” he added.

Israeli authorities previously banned Al Jazeera from operating within Israel in May, accusing the network of assisting the Palestinian militant group Hamas. In June, a Tel Aviv court determined that Al Jazeera’s reporters in Gaza acted as “de facto assistants and partners” of Hamas.

The network rejected these claims, stating, “Israel’s ongoing suppression of the free press, seen as an effort to conceal its actions in the Gaza Strip, stands in contravention of international and humanitarian law,” as they expressed at the time.
